Grover Norquist is a member of the Council of Foreign Relations... so he is connected to the cognoscenti

Cognoscenti definition, persons who have superior knowledge and understanding of a particular field
a New York Investment Banking friend at Smith Barney turned me on to that word and it's meaning for those who understand the nuances of the Finanacial and wealth management and enhancement.

Norquist has competed three times in the comedy fundraiser "Washington's Funniest Celebrity" and placed second in 2009. [62] [63] [64] Humorist P. J. O'Rourke has described Norquist as " Tom Paine crossed with Lee Atwater plus just a soupçon of Madame Defarge". [65]
