Pierre,
Did you read the article in the Journal today on Micron objecting to the IMF bailing out Samsung, uh sorry I meant Korea, without some safeguards that the money won't be used to bail out their DRAM mess?

Even if Samsung doesn't make the drives that the OEMs really want, they can still be used as levers to get other DD vendors to lower their prices. And at the margin, their supply will certainly hurt.

I would worry about Fujitsu too, but don't think that they are quite as crazy about market share as Samsung. I may be wrong about that, of course. They obviously fired a shot across the bow in October/November.

Peter Lynch also is fond of saying that a lot of his best ideas don't pan out until he has held the stock for 2 or 3 years; requires patience and a strong stomach to hold on, not to mention elbow grease to make sure that the story is still intact.

Re: << I'll wait for the fundamentals to turn >>

PX,
I appreciate your comments. What would be one fundamental thing you like to see changed? More players exiting? WDC finishing the changeover to the newer MR (or whatever) tech? Not seeing The Asian Slowdown?
