Is Maxtor owned by Samsung, or Hyundai?? Pls clarify. I have been looking for a second HDD for the past couple of weeks. I tell you what is REALLY selling at stores like Fry's, or CPU is MAXTOR. The prcies are extreemly low. I hope somebody can put a stop to these guys. They have just runied this market. I have not seen much of the Japanese brands such as Fujitsu and any of these stores. The general feeling from the sales people about the Maxtor products is that it is cheap, but the quality is O.K. Not any where close to WDC, SEG, or QNTM.
