If you stick an SSD in there you would void your warranty.

You might like it running stock. Try that first. You can also check what bios options you have at that time. Boot from flash or DVD for instance.

It has some limitations compared to your other box. If you want to exchange the HDD for a SSD it's possible, but doesn't look like you can add an internal SSD. Voids the warranty.

To change to SSD:

Copy all the required drivers to a flash drive, or check if a Lenovo disk contains them.
Replace the HHD w SSD
Install windows
Install drivers

If you want a W7 install without all the Lenovo stuff on it, you can use the OEM W7 disk you bought for the other machine instead. Activate W7 using the Lenovo W7 key.
