Re: new rules and "what's the big deal?" and/or "overreaction: ~~ Hi Skinowski...and all... I tried to make my comments in a calm manner, and non-inflamatory. In fact, wrote my thoughts hours before I posted them. Perhaps it is an overreaction on many parts.....I've said I would continue to post any comments I might have here....but who cares really what any of us think? This is Bill's thread, and he can do what he wants with it, within the SI rules. I think it is a large tribute to his talent, and that of so many others who have contributed to make this consistently one of the most visible threads on SI. It is precisely that word "community" that is important. The way it has been has been involved a large group of smart, multi-talented group of people who felt secure enough to share things they thought important on various issues, in the hope that others could either find fault, or perhaps some content they could share with others. Bill, for his own reasons, wants/needs to change the direction of the thread to something more to his liking. Personally, I will always read the info he posts, and hope that most of us do that. But I also hope that perhaps the new thread, or something else in the future will capture the spirit of what we had here for so long. Sharing thoughts and ideas is a good thing, certainly in these troublesome times. That old saying seems to fit well here.... What is, is....
