Market is back to it's crafty old self. Day to day swings in sentiment until the cliff deal is hammered out. Sell the rally when it is announced.

I'm with you 100%, that's exactly my way of looking at it... I don't mind paying some "insurance" that way just to be safer in the longer run... I agree, my model did that exact same thing, it went short on a failed buy signal, and then reversed the very next day after it sold off... I took a manageable loss on the short side and it's money well spent considering this market could just as easily have gone down and stayed down...
