Entitlements is a mechanism guarantee populaces' compliance. Anywhere there are entitlements there has been social peace.

As populaces love entitlements, they become pliable. The game works for a while during the pos-WII period until end of the 60s.

Then it was no longer affordable, but ruling elites love pliable populaces and continued showing the façade that everything was going well.
