He can never feel shame because he can never see wrong in any thing he does. What we know as monstrous lies are simply god's work to his wasted little mind. Clearly, an arrested emotional development. He clearly got stuck way back when...and all maturation simply came to a suden stop. Probably a traumatic experience of some kind. Possibly sexual, judging by his reaction formation and extreme projections. His Drama Queen Histrionics are sort of like blowing off the energy that is choking him on the inside where his repressed deviancy and his terror of life eats away at his mortality and stokes his mortal fears.
