A closing price of 18 3/4 ?? ...Oh, there it goes up to 19.

I put a number of friends into Cymer at 18 and this has certainly cut our profits.

Its enough to make you tempted to sell and catch the stock on it's way back up. We'll see what happens tommorrow, perhaps Stop/Loss it at 18 1/4. I missed Cymer at 16 1/2, maybe I get a second chance.

wdc was warned a year ago to get into magnetoresistive, but they stayed with thin, now they're paying the price. quantum switched completely to mr and wdc chided them for doing it, now wdc is trying to catch up stating that they're phasing out the thin earlier than planned. they blame their own incompetence on the price they're getting for drives on korea and japan dumping cheap drives on the market; but in actuality most of the korean and japanese have gone exclusively to magnetoresistive as well along with quantum. this makes the fourth day that techs went down considerably when wdc announced their lower earnings.
