Not sure if Kurlak is drawing a conclusion based on chip maker data or has direct sales data from the computer makers?

"-- Also, growth in the semiconductor industry's end markets, such as workstations, personal computers, wireless and telecom switching, was decelerating slightly, he said.

-- ''Generally they are ordering less,'' Kurlak said. ''The companies that sell to those companies are telling us this.''

I listened to the Kurlak's C-Call and didn't hear him say anything about declining PC sales, in fact he deferred to Lucy Painter as ML's expert on PC sales. He did say that the sub 1000 PC will not increase total unit shipment but would displace higher priced machines. He also said that the dsp chip content of newer machines have decreased.
