I did catch this article. Nice to a fund manager giving out some good value picks.

Re CE
I have looked at this stock and rejected it for the following reasons:

1) It seems the acetic acid business may be in the dumps for a while, due to oversupply. I am not sure that CE's claim that they are the low cost producer is true
2) high Capex expenditures for environmental upgrades going forward
3) the ethanol technology while promising is only at a pilot stage. It is not clear to me that this process will have a cost advantage compared to existing processes
4) the company is mostly in the commodity business, very little special chemistry business, which is more resilient.

Paul, from that interview, AER is the most compelling buy, IMO.

I think I previously posted why I like aircraft stocks. Everything in the aircraft cycle is hitting a prime buying time.

AER has announced a share buyback as shares trade below book value. Co. has sold assets at book and bought shares below book.

Maybe it will initiate a div. and if not it likely will continue to buy back shares.

CE (Celanese). Fits my criteria for a value stock -profitability, p/e, roe. Little high on p/sales number. I have a few shares; decided I would up my position a bit more.
