But bentway, don't you remember all of the bank failures, the bankruptcies, the extremely high unemployment, how international trade went to not only zero, but actually went negative as countries started shipping stuff back to the home countries? Neither do I. But this resembles a lot of how the Right canonized Reagan. Gone is the senile old man, disgraced by the sale of weapon to the Iranians so the Contras could be funded. Now old 666 has been elevated to deity status. The 80s are now some dream period and not one where millions of middle managers got riffed and wiped out a chunk of the middle class, dropping a lot of ,middle-aged men into poverty.
