So you're saying that that self-proclaimed "mainstream climate scientists" are responsible for splitting "the atom, sequenced DNA, put spider genes in goats, developed AIDs drugs, invented Viagra, and sent a probe out of the solar system." Why.. that's quite an accomplishment!! On the other hand.. REAL people who actually participated in the splitting of the atom, namely Teller, were so outraged about the exaggerated claims by the climate science community that they signed the Oregon Petition.. (along with 9000 other various Phds).. petitionproject.org Hell, the IPCC is so "mainstream" that it's chairman has no credentials in climate science at all.. en.wikipedia.org And he likes to write soft-porn novels as a side hobby.. (along with making stupid, UNSUBSTANTIATED, claims that all the Glaciers in the Himalayas will have melted within 35 years).. Your idea of "mainstream" climate scientists are those who seem hell bent upon stifling any questioning of their climate models and scientific methodology. We saw it with the Climategate scandal, and we see it with the folks like Skeptical Science.. (the founder of which is a self-employed cartoonist, albeit with some background in physics). populartechnology.net Read what was discovered among their private emails when their site got hacked.. They are trying to "drown out" any dissent.. populartechnology.net Real Mainstream science INVITES having their results challenged.
