Unfortunately....its man (or trader) v. machine (computers) and man doesnt win as often with the speed and capacities of the computers.

They don't work for investing purposes except for the occasional isolated story. All the traders love the action, so have fun in the casino.

Index investors are looking at a lost decade or more pretty much, and maybe more to come.

I agree with that.

I also think that the market seems to do a better job of setting the market price closer to the value of the stock. That does make producing out-sized gains harder.

It used to be much easier for me to identify value that the market was missing.
