I really think the politics of it are more of a pissing match between the two sides than it is looking for a solution for the country. Disagree. I don't see there's any equivalence between the Dem position of supporting the middle class and the Rep position of supporting the wealthy. Simplistic, of course. But it does reduce itself to that formula. Trying to keep cuts in social security, medicare, and medicaid at a minimum is one way. Maintaining the tax cuts for the portions of incomes under $250k is another. And many others.
