The barrons article was a very good one, for those who wanted to really understand how serious 3Coms problem are presently.
I totally agree with someone who posted eralier, " When the brokers wants to sell the stock to individuals talking what is line the road after 3 years when the present is ugly, it is time to run to the exit". 3 Com is a great company but the near future is not so good.
There is no cheap price in stock market. If COMS doesnt correct the fundamental problem, The stock will go to teens. COMS will gladly recover, because they have the remote access contracts. But when is a big question.

>>Anyone know what Revenue was expected to come in at?

OK I looked at their last Q report.
They made then 48c excluding one time charges and made 1.6B revs.
If you derate the earnings by 10% to get 44c the revenues should
have been around 1.45B assuming the same other costs.
I think if they make 1.2B then there is a part revenue problem there as well. If there is no merger charge to be applied for this quarter, then to get a flat earning they will have a very significant inventory cleanup charge to their earnings and I have a strong suspicion that the margins may be under squeeze.
Whatever it is, COMS is not clearly saying whatthe problems are.
Somebody with a better handle on their income statement can comment better.
