Been thinking the same thing. Where is the incentive to hold a dividend stock for a few months when you aren't getting a dividend? I also don't like the "borrowing to pay" action, which has caused debt to be downgraded in a few cases. Nice short term action might lead to a less stable future.

Frankly, I think most of these pay forward dividends are for the insiders, CEO's and large holders for whom the dividend change will be in the millions.

"Was just thinking about these "pre-pay" dividends" I'm thinking of the other side of this. Will I be
able to get some real bargains? Not worried about when I get paid, just that I get paid.
