"we have such a cobbled together system that we have by far the highest cost in the world and no where near the best care." Yes, we do... buildings full of insurance drones, pushing paper while doing nothing to provide health care. Just a big profit center on the way to paying the most for care. In fact, they might well be counterproductive to good health, since they tell the docs what they can and can't do, and tell the hospitals when they have to kick patients out.
