"The scientific FACT is that individual Human life begins at conception”

LOL!! Only a few posts ago I reminded you that I have never contested when an egg gets a full complement of DNA! The human life aspect is hotly contested and studied in the Scientific community. But the difference is in seconds or at most hours so it is irrelevant to me. What is relevant is that your only “argument” is to babble over and over the one thing that is uncontested! Again: Human DNA is not a human person with the capacity to enjoy rights! Personhood is a complicated area of philosophical inquiry which involves a great deal more than being a skin cell or an egg. The fact is that even fully developed persons with no controversy or dispute over their personhood simply have no right to the body of another human being. How less so an insentient life that has no personhood, no interest, and to which no action makes any sort of difference.

Trying to remove a person’s right to their body is barbaric and foolish. The moral thing to do is to encourage all those who would have an abortion to do so as early as possible while the potentiality is still far removed from the actual. This causes the least harm overall and thus leads to the most available good.

Can you think of one human being who would care for a sperm, an egg, or a fertilised egg for a lifetime if any of those insentient things were never to change, but always to remain unchanged decade after decade--without brain, without heart, without anything? Of course, you know better. Yet you pretend that having human DNA makes something a person. If that were the case, then the tiny speck of an egg (the size of a period) would be entitled (leaving aside the issue of human rights of the woman and pretending that this dot is outsdie her body), to be cared for and kept. But you know how ridiculous that would be because you know damn well that egg is not a person! You know damn well that egg has no actual value to anyone. It has value only for its POTENTIALTY. It is NOT a person but it has the POTENTIAL to become a person.

Do you know why men and women mate? Of course, you must. They mate in order to unite the potential of the sperm with the potential of the egg to create the potential of a fertilised egg.

Again, you damn well know the fertilised egg is only a potential person--NOT An actual PERSON. If it were an actual person then you (and any other human being) would be willing and happy to care for it year after year irrespective of whether or not it ever grew larger than a grain of sand--and regardless of the fact that it has no nervous system and no awareness of any kind.

All it has is human DNA. But having human DNA does not a person make. The egg is a POTENTIAL person. A human egg is not a person any more than a chicken egg is a chicken. Get that straight once and for all and stop bothering me with your bleating and your insincere blubbering.
