I would have thought the cliff plunge would appeal to you, Steve, since the deficit seems to be the major focus of your political concerns. Going off the cliff means huge deficit reductions.

No, you don't. With no agreement, EVERYONE's taxes will rise to Clinton-era levels, as the Bush tax cuts automatically expire. Then, Obama can propose cutting taxes for 98% of Americans, and DARE Republicans to vote against it!
