Thanks Chip,

Set up W95 Text Printer per your instructions and it works fine.

Text printed to file a MS Exporer Report (*.prn)and opened with QP. Unfortunately there are several fields and the stock symbol field is not the first one. Went back to Explorer and narrowed down all the other fields to nothing (except symbol) and saved to file again. QP opens it up but won't open the chart because the symbol is not aligned properly. You can edit each on individual symbol and make it work, but that is too much effort. Will keep trying.

The idea is to:

1. save to file the MS Exploration,
2. open (*.prn) file with QP,
3. save as QP (*.list)
4. then using QP_META to transfer list back to a MS folder.

If one could make this work it would be a work around (although cumbersome)to a DUMB MS Explorer, which does not provide a capability for making an Exploration into a Folder, so one can page through a large number of charts easily.

Chip:

I tried this in NT 4.0 and all I get is a 4 byte file. The test page worked fine, but not the generic text only printer. Anybody out there able to print an explorer report to a file in this manner?

Thanks, and regards,

Bruce
