Inode, the reductions in tax revenue from 2001-2004 were all due to Clinton's bubble bursting. Bush had to cut taxes in order to "prevent a crisis from turning into a catastrophe."

See how easy it is when you adopt the "logic" of libtards?

You are so caught up in your dogmatic response that you refuse to look at the data.

Dude, look, it's simple. Look at the chart below....

From 2001 to 2005 GDP grows each and every year...to a cume of >19%...revenue shrinks during the same period. Look at your next question...

You and other leftwingers claim that the tax cuts increased the deficit but how do you explain revenue well above 2000 levels in 06/07/08, and the beginning of a recovery of revenue in 04/05 after the 03 cuts?

Well, again...2006 GDP grows by >24% relative to 2001 in current dollars...and the revenue chart is in current dollars...by historical revenue/gdp ratio the fed should have a lot more revenue...instead it barely tops the revenue produced 5 years earlier...what's the mystery inode?

By the way, I never claimed that tax cuts alone increase the deficit...spending and tax cuts have done that...

And by the way again, the "significant" recession you mentioned....it lasts two disconnected quarters...the economy expands each and every year from 2001 to 2008.
