It doesn't matter, if the SS runs $60B in deficits, then that is $60B more in deficits Congress runs. So to lower Congressional deficits, we need to also lower SS deficits. If we sock it to the rich, then fine. I'm all for it. But we can't keep running deficits in all these programs. That's unsustainable.
