"so that's when the melting of the permafrost and the multi-year ice and runaway methane release should have occurred" according to you. You prolly shouldn't listen to yourself. You'll get confused. Just pay attention to the fact that we already have melted much of the old ice, and that methane out-gassing may be starting. If you want to be helpful, you might suggest something to do, like flaring that methane, cuz CO2 isn't as bad as CH4.
