BAY 2 weeks ago did say that they feel comfortable with the Dec qtr estimate.Last week they were upgraded by BofA.If they were struggling to meet the qtr,i would doubt that the company will make a statement to that effect and for the analyst at BofA to upgrade them.The analyst also stated that out of the list of companies that he follows,he believes BAY is the most likely to beat expectations.

Jay - would you plz tell us where was the rumor originated (note: this is a pure informational question, no intention as a challenge)?

The last thing I heard was a couple of wks ago when BAY increased the channel inventory in anticipation of a briskier sale at the tail end of the qtr and people were scared BAY was stuffing the channel also. Anyone got an acct with DMG? Lindsay seems to be pretty good in checking with the channels.
