All-- VVUS is often erroneously lumped in the "drug sector" and moves with it. This often accounts for moves unexplained by or contrary to the news.

The reason to buy VVUS on dips is the earnings performance. Unless and until it fails to meet expectations, the share price will have to catch up eventually.
