Yep. I read the Illiad when I was seven so this is great language for me. It is sort of in the genre of "As a man thinketh" or "I Dare You". It bores a lot of people. But I love it!

Good reading should involve great imagination and fearless visualization. These days people do not have an education across the Classics. Probably the only person on SI that demonstrated that was Neocon. It was too bad (in my opinion) that he used his great education and intellect to rationalise--but there you go. I believe that Chesterton did the same thing but I love the guy.

And then there was Newton. Brilliant brilliant. In his day, the alchemy and the religious stuff just shows how fearless his mind was...
