"Of course Solon legitimized pedophilia"

Didn't you read my post? Pedophilia was the culture. Solon was known as one of the Seven Great Sages and the Father of Democracy! He was the Law Giver! Some of his laws involved and regulated the homosexuality which was a commonplace in Greek culture. As my post to you explained, healthy teen boys were venerated and passiveness and being effeminate were generally disdained. As far as we can know, the rules varied from city state to city state. Love of young boys was apparently quite ubiquitous while physical intimacy was varied. As my post showed you, in Sparta men were expected to love young men but were expected to kill themselves or self-exile if their passions led to physical intimacy.

You are very interested in Greek culture for some reason and I am happy to assist your education.

"you claimed to know that Michaelangelo was gay"

No doubt about that...

"Solon who wrote poems extolling the pleasures of man boy love was most certainly a pedophile."

Not according to history, but I don't care and I am sure you don't care. I have no doubt he supported the homosexuality that was ubiquitous in Greek culture. However, there are no historical accounts of any relationships with young men. There is a poem fragment that shows his acceptance of same sex love so I would not be surprised to find that he loved a young boy or boys. They all did. The difficulty is in ascertaining whether there was physical love expressed. Apparently, it was generally a virtue to refrain from penetration of any orifices. Too bad so many ancient writings were lost or destroyed...

Michelangelo was great and so were Socrates, Plato. Aristotle, and Solon! We stand on the shoulders of those bi-sexual geniuses!!
