(OT) GB, that first link you have posted ..................................

I have not read it fully yet, but as I recall, I have been hearing booms for a few months now. I have pretty sharp ears ..... and every so often, late at night (I keep bizarre hours) I hear a boom ...... it sounds like a big chamber has a metal door, and the metal door has been hit by something. At first I thought it could be some house-siding hit by something or storage shed door slamming in the wind, and I even asked my neighbor about it ...... but people around me are in bed by 11 pm, and I am sometimes up until 5am or after. :)

One reason my ears are fine tuned is that, even though I am a musician of sorts, I function almost totally in silence all day long except in specific periods where I choose not to and am playing or listening to music. So I am inclined to believe my ears.

I need to look into this some more. I am even more curious now.
