A label is only as good as the validity and acceptance of its definition. As long as someone agrees with a particular definition of day- and shortterm- trading, then you will have "fostered efficient communications". If not, then you may have misled them.

That's the problem with labels or stereotypes; they could have different definitions based on one's own experience.

When one fixes a label on something, one tends to assume that everyone has the same definition. If they do not, you may be inadvertently sending the "wrong message". If it doesn't matter (like in this anonymous forum), then they're no harm done. It's a different story with stereotypes.
