I agree... her voice has a vulnerable innocence it in that I don't hear in many women's voices... if I had to think of who else has (or had) that same kind of sound I could only think of two other singers... the first was Connie Francis, she had a certain tear (tear as in tear drop) in her voice that was very present... and also Gloria Estafan, her voice in the higher octaves had that same tear and vulnerable innocence, but this Susan Boyle has it all... when she sings, it sounds very intimate and personal, almost as if she's praying when she sings...

Listen to this wonderful and extraordinary Scottish song, the voice comes completely from the heart, I think she's also Scottish, which explains her deep love for this bonny Scottish melody, her delivery lets you know without any doubt this song is very much Scottish...
