The Fantasy of a 91% Top Income Tax Rate

No one is proposing a 91% rate...let's keep it on the surface of the earth please.

TWY, from the article:
These Americans—many of whom would hardly call themselves wealthy—reported an adjusted gross income of $209,000 or higher, and they paid 49.7% of all income taxes.
An AGI of $209K/year is indeed considered very wealthy for most people, especially liberals who buy into the class warfare envy.

Funny thing is, though, $209K/year might afford a modest 1,400 ft2 house here in a nice neighborhood in Northern California. Or in the NYC area. Or the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.

You know, the liberal meccas of America.
