I've posted the stats before- but the damage guns do to teens and kids is pretty outrageous. The gun nutters never seem to deal with that. They love the stories of the little old ladies pointing guns at someone, but manage to close their eyes to the children constantly being killed or wounded by guns, and the teens who use them to commit suicide. Must be nice to be able to structure your own reality. I would never say guns aren't useful. But the sloppiness of the average gun owner is pretty phenomenal. And I've posted stats on that. A huge number of people, with children, are not storing their guns safely, nor do they transport them safely, and many of them don't use them safely. I guess it's Darwin at work- but I really don't have the stomach to watch it play out.
