I think Krugman is right on several counts here. We know the use of robots is increasing, particularly, robots to build robots. We also know that as it lowers labor costs, it increases the incentives to bring manufacturing back to the US where infrastructure is better. And so on. The translation into class categories also seems to make sense.

I'm now going to read "lets bring manufacturing back to the US" claims a bit differently.
