"They insist on playing the role of protector of the rich. Its crazy but that's GOP reality these days." They don't even DENY it anymore. Their useful idiots don't seem to mind, but there's not enough rich people and useful idiots for them to win elections, except in the most regressive states. But, they DO still say things like "we're just against raising taxes" - even when everyone KNOWS that Obama is only proposing raising taxes on the wealthy. Only the useful idiots drink the kool aide.
