Interesting thought. I would have to think about second and third order consequences. That's why I like the notion of permitting Medicare to bargain for drug prices. It's a proposal that's been around forever and thus well vetted.

I know for a fact that many drugs are sold much more cheaply in poor countries where there would be no sales if the prices were higher. I also know that the drug companies make money on these sales, or they wouldn't make them. We get screwed here.
