Several members on this thread including me think that the financial sector is in for at least a short term rally as it was strong during Friday's session. Your fundamental analysis of bank stock valuations =s book values is much appreciated.

Keep in mind that the sector and its participants are technically in an over-bought status but that does not mean that they cannot continue their up-trends for a while longer.

Also keep in mind that trends whether up or down do not trade in a straight line up or down. They follow the trend with corrections in both directions. (// or \\ but always with /\/\/\/

One other fundamental thing that I used to look at was PE Ratio vs current stock price.

BAC trades on the S&P where average PE Ratios are just under 16%.

That means that BAC who earns .37 cents is worth $5.92 per share which means that BAC is trading about 44% above the S&Ps average PE.

Is that important? I have no idea. <g>
