Here's the pimp of the housing bubble, Steve: youtube.com From there, the banks began creating mortgage backed securities and selling them, while underneath them the mortgage industry began writing stated-income, no-doc mortgages for anyone with a pulse to immediately sell to the banks for their MBS's, and we were off to the bubble! It wasn't Paul Krugman. As for me, I knew when I got an offer for four times what I owed on my house, I'd be a fool not to sell it to the REAL fool making the offer. But, I found an even greater fool, and sold it to him.
