Don't get me started on this... My Dad was a Doc, way, way back. Most people didn't have insurance, and most of his patients didn't have a lot of money, so the economic reality was use your head and only do what was necessary. He did have wealthy patients but still the discipline was to not do too much. Now it seems like a money machine... bill everything you can think of. Remember at Christmas getting tons of gifts from patients that didn't have any money to pay him... hand made quilts and things like that.
