The Fed wanted marijuana classified as a narcotic under then attorney general Mitchell & Dick Nixon when they formed the DEA in '70 . It was classified in the highest order of scheduling with heroin while they also had rammed this thru the UN in '69 even after most all reports then, even the DEA's own Science Head released a 2yr study that Pot was less harmful than alcohol. (of course the dimmwits ignored this) Its about power, control ,the ability to interdict & carry out clandestine opps, most all of which they fcked up anyways from the tip of South America to Mexico to Vietnam , or like Reagan's little drugs for arms bizness with the Contras. Its cost over a trillion easily , now the state of Washington estimates it will be taking in up to $500mil on taxes alone once they get the Fed out of their faces,so they can regulate. The setting up of Healthcare facilities in Portugal costs 1/3 less than incarceration, and its working.

Back in the summer of 1986 the DEA administrator initiated public hearings on cannabis rescheduling. The hearings lasted two years, involving many witnesses & 1000's of documents and DEA Chief Administrative Law Judge Francis L. Young on September 6, 1988 ruled Cannabis did not meet the legal criteria of a Schedule I prohibited drug and should be reclassified. DEA Judge Young declared that cannabis in its natural form is : ""Marijuana is the safest therapeutically active substance known to man... safer than many foods we commonly consume." Of course they ignored these findings then , even growing hemp is still illegal to grow in this fundmentalist idiot box country, they republicans are finally losing control but i assure you that George Bush senior is still making his money/millions with Saudis in a variety of ways .

The first FED DRUG TZAR Harry Ansliger an ignorant vile little man with ambitions , appointed Federal Drug Tzar in the 1930's . He single handedly abused his powers & whipped up a frenzied campaign of fear, hate & racism against poor "Darkies" negroes & the Hispanics who were already looked at with hatred & fear from an already hurting economy percieved from the "White" Americans for taking jobs away in the lower classes in agriculture, domestics, & mining areas of the southwest. Here's some of the Fed's Harry Anslinger's famous quotes he used for this 1930's self aggrandisment exploitation were very effective brainwashing in that time: “There are 100,000 total marijuana smokers in the US, and most are Negroes, Hispanics, Filipinos, and entertainers. Their Satanic music, jazz, and swing, result from marijuana use. This marijuana causes white women to seek sexual relations with Negroes, entertainers, and many others.” “…the primary reason to outlaw marijuana is its effect on the degenerate races.” “Marijuana is an addictive drug which produces in its users insanity, criminality, and death.” “Reefer makes darkies think they’re as good as white men.” “Marihuana leads to pacifism and communist brainwashing” “You smoke a joint and you’re likely to kill your brother.” “Marijuana is the most violence-causing drug in the history of mankind.” ( For myself rarely have used MJ but think its an abomination for it to be illegal given the dirtiest of politics & Prohibition & costs due to these stupid laws )

Clovis East High School teacher arrested for sex with student FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A Clovis East High School teacher has been arrested, accused of having sex with an underage student. Related Content MORE: ABC30 Neighborhood News Clovis police arrested Lindsey Trimble last Thursday. She resigned from her teaching position the same day. Clovis Unified Spokesperson Kelly Avants told Action News Trimble was a secondary teacher at the Reagan Educational Center, assigned to teach at Clovis East and Reyburn Intermediate. Avants said the alleged relationship happened last year and involved a 17 year old male student. Trimble has since bailed out of jail.
