In a nutshell the greatest generation went through some unbelievably
tough times. The GD taught them not all is rosy, then WWII taught
them they were fighting for the country but more importantly the guy
brother right next to them. That experience was brought home after the war,
where they cared about the people their neighbors and then country.

Then came the boomer's and whatever experiences they learned during
WWII and GD was used to as an excuse for their children never to have
to go through what they went through, very noble, but in reality it spoiled
most boomers into thinking they were privileged.

The results are showing up everywhere.....the American Dream is
on it's deathbed

Some good points there, el. But some are missing. Doesn't help if many college degrees are the equivalent of basket weaving. Mal investment and an over reliance on the financing industry keeps the ponzi scheme going for a while longer. Keeps water from finding it's own level. Nice to export all your pollution though. What happens when the locals overseas decide their quality of life needs improving?? Costs go up??
