"Prolly; high temps will wipe out the virus called Homo sapiens. Then after a recovery period of some millions of years, another species will make its way back onto solid land, and the cycle will continue."

George shared that perspective. 'Course, he was a comedian. He may have talked differently to his daughter.

Decades ago, I recall a car company manager saying that their cars were so clean that Los Angeles air was cleaner after going trhough the motor than before it went in. At the time, he was joking, but it would be true now in Beijing which is disgusting. A new Japanese car would definitely make the air cleaner going out than in. It would reduce the oxygen and increase the water and CO2 but the icky stuff would be greatly reduced.

Since water and CO2 are good things, cars can now be considered environmental appliances.

Cars used to go around spraying lead and carcinogens as well as black goop. They were also noisy. They were bad things. Now they are good things. The also regularly killed and maimed. That's not surprising considering people are much the same as chimps. With Google cars, there won't be the risk of death and destruction.
