How about government monopoly control over retail alcohol sales like in Pennsylvania? I'm not sure what the goal is other than just to make money being a high priced liquid drug distributor. People near the border drive to NJ to buy bottles in NJ for much lower prices.

I have nothing against vanity plates. I just don't want to pay for one myself.

Some states have plates that take on a theme, like The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. They cost more and the money goes to the benefiting organization. I would rather have my money go directly to the foundation.

State lotteries are what I call a voluntary tax, and I don't volunteer to pay it.

I'll hand it to the democrats, in Arkansas they pushed and got the lottery going here.

I'll be bad and say I take satisfaction in poor people on the public dole buying lottery tickets, at least the govt is recovering some of the money they pass out.
