No worries... :O)

How a Platinum Coin Could Solve the Debt-Ceiling Problem

thedailybeast.com

Although it’s the Federal Reserve that has the power over printing dollar bills (and the electronic money in the form of bank reserves it uses to execute monetary policy), the Treasury, through a weird kink in the law, has the authority to strike a platinum coin of any value.

Gold getting hammered today as it seems increasingly likely that we'll go cliff jumping.

USD up and 10 year rates rising to 1.7% .........woooohoooo....still in the negative range.

Cynically, the Dems might allow unemployment benefits end for millions if they don't get their way in order to crush the GOP. That's rough, too rough, and I don't see such a thing happening, but I could be wrong.

The Aussie guy's rational comments on QE are also having impact, certainly did last night.

In any event, I am today going to add a bit of Never To Be Sold Golden Salvation to the core PF. If we jump Dismal Cliff, will add more as I think gold will suffer even more, presenting golden opportunity to buy cheaper.
