Peter, contrary to your accusation, it was you who misused words. It puzzles me why people are so reluctant to say "Oh yes, that is right. Thanks for pointing it out." I find SI good for identifying gaps in my knowledge and thinking. There's a large collection of smart people who know a lot of things. It can even save one a load of money if one's mistakes are related to investment.

Your mistakes were not typos, which are very easy to make. They were mistakes like "tow the line" [one of my favourites] and "viola" which is another good one. I can't recall a big list of them now, but there are lots. Another one is "could care less". Oh yes, "baited breath" and ... "one foul swoop" - I asked Google and found some more [some of which I have not read] democraticunderground.com
