Had colonial America prevailed against Canada it could have made things much different both then and now. First, the American Revolution could have been markedly different had they combined, but even had it resulted in the Constitution basically as we know it, the political composition of a larger US would also be changed today. So perhaps it was for the best as it worked out. :)
Too bad the Expedition against Canada didn't work out. :)
