Hi Michael, the decrease in productivity using NT comes from not having as user friendly human interface as well as an unstable system. The NT crashes often, 4 or more times a day. The MAC OS has always had better protection at the operating system level than either Windows or NT. In fact since I have put OS 8 on my MAC that I am using now I have never had a crash. I have had some applications that get in trouble because of bugs but the OS stays up and one can save any work and restart if you feel more comfortable. He also says the applications on the NT are less stable than the ones on the MAC. Also the NT is not plug and play like the MAC. It took the technical person and my husband one day to set up the machine. I have never spent more than an hour taking a new MAC out of a box and had it running. So it goes.

Have to admit I own Intel and Microsoft stock but do not plan on using their products any time soon. Bought Microsoft when they came out with Excel on the MAC many long years ago.<ggg>

Joan
