now that we have cleared the air, you should look at the environmental track record of socialism, eastern Germany being just one. The environmental devastation and legacy of socialism and communism is abysmal. If you believe climate change is a real issue, then it is clearly demonstrated by history that capitalism is THE best system to solve the problem.

Humans must immediately implement a series of radical measures to halt carbon emissions or prepare for the collapse of entire ecosystems and the displacement, suffering and death of hundreds of millions of the globe’s inhabitants, according to a report commissioned by the World Bank. The continued failure to respond aggressively to climate change, the report warns, will mean that the planet will inevitably warm by at least 4 degrees Celsius (7.2 degrees Fahrenheit) by the end of the century, ushering in an apocalypse.

LOL!!

If you want the "death of hundreds of millions of the globe's inhabitants", then by all means get rid of oil, gas and coal (and capitalism). Oh yes, mass starvation and the total collapse of civilization would be a small price to pay in order to save "Mother Gaia" from the horrors of "climate change" and the evils of profit..
