Good and evil have nothing to do with science in the least. They simply are.

"What physical law or characteristic can science identify that makes something good or evil?"

Christ, you are stupid. Good and evil are merely value judgements concerning events. If there were no people with opinions there would be no value judgements.

All people make those value judgements on a personal and subjective level--qualified or not by some degree of rationality. This is best exemplified when two armies face off and have completely opposite opinions on the death of each and every man.

So, go get a brain...PLEASE!
