I don't advocate hydropower either. It's environmentally damaging, but saying it being responsible for 1/3 of the annual CO2 emissions is a gross exaggeration at best. These guys paint anything that threatens the burning of hydrocarbons as being "bad".

Anti fossil fuel, anti nuke, anti hydro. Anti anything that would actually work on an industrial scale. If we eliminated everything else, greens will turn against solar and wind too*. There is no energy source without an environmental impact.

* As it is, liberals have already objected to and blocked solar and wind projects in some places.
